So far, this bullet has proven itself to be very successful. Grouping under 1″ at 100yds in a Bergara HMR. Daughter got a 2’fer on her first hog hunt. Her first deer, tiny entrance in the right shoulder with massive trauma about an 1″ in. Blowing out the left shoulder, with a half dollar size exit wound. Plenty of blood to trail, but wasn’t needed, deer dropped at 20yds.
Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Was worried about this ammo due to the first batch I got needing to be sent back because of an overly difficult bolt throw. At no cost to me Federal replaced the faulty cartridges, and the new batch functioned perfectly. At the range, it grouped slightly over 1 MOA in my Bergara B14 HMR, about 150fps slower than posted on the box. Opening morning I had one step out at 300 yards, dialed my 1.9 MIL for it and drilled both lungs. The deer was down and dead in 30 yards. Performed perfectly!
Economical Accuracy –
Had a friend let me try this ammo and I bought some for myself. Shoots consistent 3/4″ groups at 100 yards in a heavy barreled 8 twist savage axis. Shoots consistently sub 3/4″ in his 8 twist howa. He’s getting closer to 1/2″ groups. I am guessing that the bullet is either made by speer or sierra but neither company lists them. I haven’t chronoed them yet. I have heard good reports as far as terminal performance on whitetails. Federal has always had a great terminal performing bullet for whitetails in their blue box power shock ammo. I expect these non typicals will perform just as good terminal wise. If you like them please send federal an email to keep making them because they are no longer listing them on their website.
